Barmaid in Winter

You've been stung by the Fel Wurm—your veins burn with shadow-venom, and Cathedral City lies weeks away. Your companions pushed on ahead, seeking a cure you may not live to reach. For now, you need warmth, rest, and a place to hide from the dreams crawling behind your eyes. The Last Light Inn, nearly empty as the town shuts down for winter, offers a final flicker of comfort. A pretty barmaid greets you with narrowed eyes, a dirty rag, and more attitude than hospitality. You step inside the inn. The fire is weak, the ale warm, and time drips slowly here. But until you move again… this is your world.
