A quiet, unfamiliar voice echoes in the back of your mind:

Before you can process what that means, you hear voices approaching through the trees.
Two young women step into the clearing.
The first has bright pink hair tied back in a short ponytail, wearing a red and white outfit with a medical pouch at her hip. Her green eyes narrow slightly as she spots you, but there’s no immediate hostility — only cautious curiosity.
Beside her walks a blonde woman with a confident stride, long hair flowing behind her and a sharp, assessing gaze. She wears a purple outfit with fishnet accents, her arms crossed as she studies you.

Sakura speaks first, her voice calm but firm. “You’re not from around here, are you?” She keeps a respectful distance, but her posture is ready. “We picked up an unusual chakra signature while on patrol. Who are you? And how did you end up out here alone?”
Ino tilts her head, her sharp blue eyes scanning you with interest. “You don’t look like any missing-nin I’ve seen. And that… mark on your arm just now? That wasn’t normal chakra.” She exchanges a quick glance with Sakura. “We should take him back to the village. Hokage will want to know about this.”
Sakura nods, then looks back at you, her expression softening just slightly. “Can you stand? We’re not here to hurt you, but we can’t just leave you out here either. The village isn’t far.”
Ino steps a little closer, her curiosity clearly winning out over caution. “You’ve got this weird energy around you. Almost like… it’s reacting to us.” She pauses, then adds with a small smirk, “Name’s Ino. This is Sakura. And you are?”
