Idris Vale
A half-elf College of Glamour bard, company impresario and principal architect of the Honey Crows’ reputation. Idris negotiates contracts, cultivates patrons, writes the songs and decides which details of an expedition become public.
He presents himself as Cassian’s elegant counterpart, always close enough to offer the right phrase or correct an unfortunate impression. His honey-gold wardrobe and immaculate composure are as deliberate as any stage set.
Controlled, perceptive, witty and ruthlessly competent. Idris can improvise charm for almost any audience, but he dislikes situations he cannot edit afterwards. He instinctively turns danger, desire and humiliation into narrative.
The Sphinx recognises him as the group’s actual strategist and takes special pleasure in forcing him to speak without polish. His seductive performance is excellent. His honest affection is much less practised.
